Reading at Angles

May 21st, 2008

Reading at angles is something we do every day. In life, outside of digital screens, we perceive everything at some angle. Rarely do we view content at perfect, 90 degree perpendiculars.

So the debate is whether software should try to maximize screen real estate by placing content at angles, or whether computers should try to provide more perfect conditions (i.e. no angles).

We think more and more we may start to see angles introduced into software, as graphic platforms and rendering engines are now able to do this while still providing good anti-aliasing and performance.
